We are proud to announce the expantion of our training offerings by adding a class on Autodesk Revit API. The class will be held May 14-15, 2012 and is designed to provide grounding in the fundamentals of programming with the Revit API for Autodesk Revit Architecture, Autodesk Revit Structure and Autodesk Revit MEP software. Upon completion of this course, participants will have learned the concepts and functions of the Autodesk Revit API and the capabilities of the latest version of the Revit API. A basic knowledge of Autodesk Revit Architecture, Structure and/or MEP products and programming knowledge of VB.NET or C # is required.

The instructor, Saikat Bhattacharya, is a member of the Autodesk Developer Network (ADN) staff working in the AEC workgroup for Developer Technical Services at Autodesk.

“Being able to bring in instructors from Autodesk makes our offerings almost limitless and it’s a strategy we use to provide customers with the best instruction and the widest variety of classes. We are very excited to bring in one of Autodesk’s top instructors for this type of training,” said Bob Treolo, Vice President at Mid-West CAD.

The low cost and numerous flight options for travel afforded the Midwest make this a regional event not to be missed. The Mid-West CAD Training Center continues to rate among the nation’s top Autodesk Authorized Training Centers (ATC) and is also an Autodesk Authorized Certification Center.

For more information on all of Mid-West CAD’s upcoming classes see: http://www.mwcad.com/trainingschedule.php

Robert Green will be at CAD Midwest on November 4th presenting:
Good to Great Technology Management
Using the concepts developed by Jim Collins in his book Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap…and Others Don’t, we will explore why some companies achieve such great results from their technology while others don’t—even though they may be using exactly the same software and hardware. We will move along Collins’ processes for identifying your leadership style, fulfilling core company needs, technology accelerators, building technology momentum, instilling discipline, and changing the technology culture of your company. In this interactive presentation, you will be encouraged to confront your assumptions about what managing technology really means and how you can transform your CAD processes from good to great as you do so. Want to shake up the way you view technology management and get fresh motivation? If so, this class is for you.

AutoCAD 2012 Tips & Tricks
Curious about the latest AutoCAD release? Let Robert Green show you how AutoCAD 2012 brings some cool new features that are worth integrating into your command vocabulary. We’ll look at the new Associative Array and Model Documentation features, the ability to import geometry from other CAD systems, new UCS controls, Multifunctional grips, the Content Explorer and more. Along the way we’ll look at some cool features you may have missed if you’ve skipped a release or two! We’ll also sneak a peek at some improvements to the installation/deployment feature set and improved migration controls to speed your transition from prior AutoCAD versions.
